In short:Start with the exact Parker Hannifin configuration and the machine requirements. Original sourcing and a change to another system need different technical and commercial checks.

Separate the actuator from the complete axis

A Parker enquiry may concern an electric cylinder, rodless axis, motor or drive. Identify the component being replaced and whether the motor or mechanics will remain. An actuator replacement involves mounting and loading questions that a drive-only comparison cannot answer.

The catalogue includes ETH, HLR and OSP-E actuator entries. A series-level thrust or stroke range is not proof of interchangeability. Record the full configuration, mounting accessories, motor adapter, screw or belt arrangement and any sensors or switches fitted.

Actuator replacement checks

RequirementInformation to provide
MovementStroke, speed, acceleration, move and dwell times
LoadingAxial force, external moments, side loads and orientation
MountingExtended and retracted geometry, mounting centres and rod end
Duty and lifeCycles, operating hours, lubrication and maintenance access
Motor integrationAdapter, shaft, ratio, brake, encoder and controller

A larger thrust rating cannot correct an unsupported side load. Equally, matching stroke does not establish the same mounting length or available speed through the required duty.

If a motor or drive must change

Supply the existing motor-drive codes, feedback and control interface. Describe the energy and holding requirements of vertical or backdrivable axes. Where the project changes from hydraulic or pneumatic motion to electric, include the process profile and wider installation constraints rather than treating it as a dimensions-only substitution.

Original sourcing and a replacement design can be investigated separately. Current supply availability, condition and manufacturer successor information must be confirmed for the exact item; we do not assume that a listed range has been discontinued.

Request a defined comparison

Send drawings or photographs, full part code, quantity and required date. We can discuss original sourcing and suitable supply-network actuator or motor-drive ranges, including Motion Control Products options where supported by the application.

The actuator sizing guide and electric press guide explain the inputs for force-driven mechanisms. Final selection needs model-specific mechanical and electrical checks; this page is not a verified Parker replacement matrix.

Parker Hannifin replacement and alternative options from our supply network

Each row compares the highest published figures for the series. A match here is a starting point: an engineer confirms the fit for your load, duty, mounting and interface before recommending anything.

Frequently asked questions

Can you source the original Parker Hannifin part?

Send the full model code, quantity and required date. We can investigate the sourcing route and confirm availability, supply condition and terms for the exact item.

Is a listed alternative a guaranteed equivalent?

No. Published series figures identify candidates for review. Exact model, installation, feedback, controller, firmware and mechanical fit must be checked before recommending a replacement.
