Motion control technical resources

Calculations, checklists and source information for selecting components and preparing a useful engineering enquiry.

Start with the exact part or the machine requirement. Product documents and general selection guidance answer different questions, so keep the manufacturer's model-specific data with the application figures.

Datasheets, CAD models, drawings and pinouts

Browse the product catalogue or search your model code for published specifications and source links. For a missing document, send the full manufacturer code and specify what you need: a datasheet, dimensional drawing, STEP model, torque-speed curve, connector pinout or installation manual.

Not every catalogue entry has a public download. We confirm document availability and the correct configuration through the relevant supply route. We do not present a generic CAD model or another variant's pinout as the drawing for your exact product. Drawings should be checked for revision and application before a design is released.

Published manufacturer resources

Motion Control Products technical resources provide published selection material and product information. Its product pages describe its configurable components and packages. These are manufacturer or supplier resources, not Specify Motion customer case studies.

ADVANCED Motion Controls compatibility resources are another starting point for reviewing motors, drives, controllers and feedback. Confirm the exact models, firmware and operating requirements rather than treating a manufacturer list as universal approval.

Prepare files for an enquiry

For a replacement, collect the nameplate, wiring information and existing configuration. For a new design, collect the load, motion profile, envelope and environmental requirements. Send the key details in the form, then reply to the confirmation email with drawings, photographs or a bill of materials. Avoid sending passwords, licence keys or unrelated personal information.

For purchasing, include quantity, required date and whether original-only supply or alternatives are acceptable. Ask for accessories and support scope to be identified so the quotation can be compared fairly.
