1. Who operates this website
Specify Motion is operated by CreativeLocker. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of Specify Motion. Contact us at enquiries@specifymotion.com about the website or an introduction.
2. What our service provides
We provide a recommendation, enquiry-routing and business-introduction service for motion-control products and related engineering and procurement needs. We use the information you provide to identify a relevant engineering or procurement provider from our available network and pass your enquiry to that provider for consideration.
The objective is to help you find suitable products, pricing, sourcing and support through a relevant provider. The provider, not the website, confirms the technical proposal, quotation, availability, ordering arrangements, delivery and after-sales service. An introduction is made in good faith; it is not a guarantee that the provider or its offer is the best, cheapest or suitable for every requirement.
Unless expressly agreed in a separate written contract, we are not the seller, manufacturer, installer, commissioning contractor, project designer or guarantor of a third party’s goods or services. References on the site to sourcing, supply, delivery or support describe the route available through the introduced provider and do not create a product-supply contract with us.
3. Enquiries and the supplier contract
Submitting a form, using the configurator, requesting a quotation or receiving an automated acknowledgement does not place an order, reserve stock or confirm an engineered design. We may ask for further information before selecting a provider. We do not guarantee that every enquiry will result in a quotation or an available product.
Any quotation, purchase, project or service contract is between you and the provider identified in its documentation, unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise. Review that provider’s identity, contract terms, payment instructions, warranty, delivery arrangements and support responsibilities before accepting an offer or paying money. We cannot bind the provider to a contract or vary its terms.
4. Your own due diligence
You are responsible for conducting your own checks on the business, company and products or services offered, and for deciding whether to proceed. These checks should be appropriate to the project and may include the provider’s legal identity, competence, insurance, financial standing, references and relevant technical evidence.
Have an appropriately competent person verify the full product code, specifications, compatibility, installation requirements, performance, approvals and suitability for the intended use. Obtain the current manufacturer documentation and clarify any modifications, testing, commissioning or maintenance required. A recommendation or introduction does not replace that assessment or transfer your responsibilities to us.
5. Website information, comparisons and tools
Catalogue entries, guides, comparison tables, search results, calculators, AI-assisted outputs and configuration summaries are preliminary information to help organise an enquiry. They are not final design approval, certification, a binding quotation or a promise of availability. Published series figures may not apply to an individual model or installed system.
Product information, prices, lead times and manufacturer documents may change. Verify the current position with the provider before relying on it. An alternative is not an identical, physically tested or drop-in replacement unless the relevant configuration and test scope have been expressly established by the responsible provider.
6. Independent providers and project outcomes
After an introduction, the provider’s conduct, products, services and commercial decisions are outside our operational control. We do not supervise or manage the provider’s work merely because the introduction originated here. You should raise order, delivery, warranty, workmanship, product-performance and project issues with the contracting provider. We may assist with passing on a query, but this does not make us responsible for resolving a dispute or fulfilling the provider’s obligations.
Subject to section 7 and applicable law, we do not accept responsibility for a third party’s acts or omissions, representations, non-performance, insolvency, defective products or services, delivery failures, or product or project failures arising from your independently agreed transaction with that party. Your decision to use an introduced business remains your own.
7. Limits of liability and rights that remain
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing removes consumer rights, an applicable duty of reasonable care and skill, or a remedy that the law requires us to provide. Any exclusion applies only to the extent it is lawful, fair and, where required, reasonable.
For business users, and subject to those qualifications, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, revenue, production, business opportunity or anticipated savings arising from use of the website or an introduced provider. These terms do not excuse a breach of any separate responsibility we have expressly undertaken or one imposed by law.
An introduction does not create a guarantee or indemnity by us for a provider’s obligations. It also does not remove any rights or remedies you may have against that provider.
8. Appropriate use and submitted material
Provide accurate information and identify uncertainties in model codes or requirements. You must be entitled to share the information and files you submit. Do not send credentials, malicious files, unrelated personal information or restricted material through the public forms. Do not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access or interfere with its operation.
By sending an enquiry, you request that we use it to identify and contact an appropriate engineering or procurement provider. Our privacy notice explains how enquiry information and optional attachments are handled and shared.
9. Intellectual property and external links
Manufacturer and product names identify the businesses and components being discussed. Their trade marks and documents remain the property of the relevant owners. A listing, comparison or link does not by itself establish an authorised-distributor relationship, endorsement or affiliation. External websites have their own terms and privacy arrangements; we do not control their content or operation.
10. Changes, availability and applicable law
We may update the website and these terms. The date above identifies the current version. Changes do not retrospectively alter a separate agreement already made. We do not guarantee uninterrupted website availability.
These website and introduction-service terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. For business disputes, the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove mandatory protections or access to the courts available under the law applicable to you. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue insofar as the law permits.
